Saga Egmont recently released the German print edition of Devney Perry’s Indigo Ridge, the first volume in the internationally successful The Edens series.
This BookTok sensation, which is a blend of small-town romance and romantic thrill, has already made its mark, hitting the German Spiegel Bestseller list.
But what makes this edition special?
Beyond the captivating story, Indigo Ridge has a striking design, including sprayed edges (“Farbschnitt”) – a current social media trend reflecting a growing appreciation of graphics and striking colors in book design.
“We believe it’s a beautiful way to engage readers,” says Stefanie Kruschandl, Commissioning Editor at Saga Egmont. “We’ve designed a book that immediately transports the atmosphere of the story. The cover graphics make the story visible, allowing potential readers to connect with the book before even opening it.”

Indigo Ridge offers a compelling combination of elements: The beautiful Montana nature setting, cozy American small-town spirit, and a suspenseful plot. The story’s ambiance being reflected through the book’s physical design.
For the release, Saga Egmont partnered with Hugendubel’s “Buchklopfen” book box, creating character cards, bookmarks, stickers, and offering reading snacks to complete the reader experience.
